Birthday card for my Sister-In-Law

While I'm on a roll I will add another card I created a week or so ago. This if for my Sister-In-Law's birthday. (I'd rather just say sister because we are just that close, and she is very special to me)
The Jar is an image by Stamps By Judith, I just love her stamps. You have to go online and see all of her images they are just adorable. Anyway I used other miscellaneous flower stamps and just stamped above the jar and then added my own stems. There are very small gems in the middle of some of the flowers for added bling. Difficult to see in the picture but I think they were a nice added touch.
Thanks for stopping by...hope to update again soon.

Onesie Invitations

I'm finally getting around to posting pictures of the Onesie Invitations we made for my niece's baby shower. We used numerous patterns and various trims so that we had a large variety. we needed approximately 60 invitations so we had a little assembly line going, as each one was completed we would all say we loved this one better than the last. Of course we each had our favorite and kept one as a little memento of the fun we had creating them. if you'd like the pattern just type in Onesie in the Gallery and they will pop up...very easy and fun to make.

Update

Sorry I've been a bit remiss on postings and checking out everyone's blogs. God answered my prayers; I now have a new full time job after being unemployed for 6 months. I absolutely love it; praise God for answering my prayers.

Unfortunately I haven't had as much time for my creative antics as I would like.

I have been working on a baby shower for my niece and making all of the invites with some other family members. I'll try to post the pictures soon.

Anyway just wanted to let everyone know I'm fine just working hard; thanks for all of the concern.

God Bless all of you.

In Christ <><

Ocean's 11 group challenge #4

This serves as my challenge for my Ocean's 11 blogger group. It was to create a small, square, CAS card. I stamped the background card stock with various sentiments, put them all on one acrylic block and just stamped away. I thought it created a nice base for the card. The main images are from Studio G, these were water colored backed with black card stock and then adhered with 3-D pop dots.

My thoughts this card would be suitable for Father's Day, Spring or Summer birthday, or note card...even a BBQ invite???

Anyway most of these are done with the Michael's stamps that I found in the $1 bin, they are embossed, water colored, and some have stickles too...the tiny cotton tails are the liquid applique (I just love liquid applique I need to experiment using it in different ways...

Ocean 11 Group's 3rd Challenge (dry embossing background)

Ocean's 11 group's third challenge was to use a dry embossing texture background for a card. This is a dotted Swiss texture in a light moss green color, this was chalked a bit to be more visible. The stamped image was colored with Copic markers and water color pencils. Crystal glaze was added to just the flower for a 3-D affect. I left the inside blank so it may be used for most any occasion.

Proud Of You Grad (Graduation card)

My niece is graduating from Grand Valley College next month (which I just cannot believe) it seems like yesterday that I was holding her in my arms and kissing her little face, it just isn't possible...
At any rate she is a sweetie and I wanted to create a special card for her in her school colors. The images are stamped, embossed, colored with SU water Color pencils and then crystal glaze is added for a 3-D effect. The card front was cut using my Cricut so the little windows would show off the inchies.

Stamp is Studio G, paper is SU, Celebrate stamp is also SU.

Ocean 11 Group's 2nd Challenge

The Ocean 11 group's 2nd challenge was to use clouds in the background of a card.

The paper I used was actually a cloud printed paper but I also decided to enhance the clouds by making them 3-D. The Stamp is Hero Arts Garden Bunny. The image was stamped, embossed, and colored with SU water color pencils. Fabric flowers were added on the bottom with moss green brads at the centers. Crystal Glaze was also added to the eyes for added dimension.
I just love bunnies and this is one of my favorite stamps.

A Mother Holds her Children's hands

This is a Mother's Day card for a new mom of a young infant or toddler. The phrase reads "A Mother holds her children's hands for a little while...and their hearts forever" The background of the card was embossed with Fiskars embossing templates little hands and feet, then shaded with chalk. Little pink hand brads were used to adhere the phrase to the bottom of the card, pink and blue were used so that the card would be suitabe for the mother of either a boy or girl.

I will Sing to the Lord (Psalms 13:6)

Just a simple card to cheer up a friend. Birds always remind me of singing to the Lord. This is a Studio G stamp, embossed and then crystal glaze was added to the bird for a 3-D affect. Scroll was cut using my Cricut machine, patterned paper is DCWV, I chalked around the edges of each piece, and added the verse from Psalms 13:6 I will sing to the Lord for He has been good to me. Bible verses are so uplifting, God has provided the right words all we have to do is share them....

SCS Ocean's 11 1st Challenge

Spring card with 3-D embellishment. Not sure if this qualifies for the challenge, but I like how it turned out. I cut the front of the card with my Cricut leaving three openings for my little inchies which were stamped, embossed, water colored and then, added crystal glaze to each image for a 3-D affect.
The watering can was also cut using my Cricut machine and the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge.

The Bible Verse at the bottom is Ecclesiastes 3:1 For everything there is a season, and a time to every matter under heaven.

Spring / Easter greeting cards

I was playing with my new stamps from Michael's $1.00 bin. I had fun adding the liquid applique to the lambs body and the bunnies tail it is so neat to watch it transform from a liquid to a puffy surface in a matter of seconds from the heat of the embossing tool.

New Layouts for this week

Sometimes it is difficult to come up with titles and journaling. Here are examples of both to perhaps make it easier. You can cut out the title from excess photos of the event as in MORE MAMMOTH, or you can incorporate the image into the title as in ADORABLE, or ... Also taking pictures of grave stones or historical markers and adding them to your layouts are sometimes all that is needed to describe the pictures taken.
